Pedro and Hubert, Neesha and Hannah, studio recherché du matins, whatever moniker is adopted, their names have become inextricably linked with the integrated aesthetic movement; a loosely affiliated group of disaffected function engineers driven to the North East by the tide of consumer banality and narrative exhaustion emanating from the larger population centres. Having washed up on the North Sea coast, this nomadic band have cut a swathe through the cultural landscape of the region finally settling in premises just off Heaton Road, providing a comprehensive range of equipment for all weathers and inclinations. HEY, BABY CHIEF PANDA . or HOT SHOP for short.

A select few males subjugated to monochrome garb; spelling out HOT BOY on chests and triangles on faces, fuelled by 8.5 Oranjeboom strong beer. Bystanders cheered as a Utility Vehicle Float passed by parading these chanting HOT BOYS. Whilst a small, part Malaysian boy in a shell suit and side parting dictated a speech with the manner and gracefulness of the prime minister (current not past).

One of the first steps taken by the new administration has been the legalisation of H.B.C.P allowing for the first time citizens of the U.K to dress themselves without compromising their contempt for commercial conformity. Join with them in their quest to purchase the worlds largest pink and peach diamond, gasp in awe at the regions only full size papier mache dinosaur head and while in the Heaton road shopping plaza why not purchase a gallon drum of crash weight gain powder from Gold Star Supplements.

The pair graduated with 1st class in Fine Art, and recently exhibited collaboratively in Newcastle 's ‘Wunderbar Festival' and ‘The Late Shows'. The pair will be exhibiting with the Moving Gallery in August and in the mean time, business time is the latest venture for Champaneria and Gillespie. The shop as art engine.

The shop is now open everyday. So, get yourself down there and buy a piece of HEY BABY CHIEF PANDA . Climb the clothes mountain, be a model on their stage whilst eating choc nibbs from Mr Clough's SWEET SHOP, recline on the googly eye monster, be HOT in clothes that literally say, ‘I want to be on you'. YOU COULD NEVER BE A ONE HIT WONDER.
